Blackhawks Battle Sixth Ranked Arlee

The Seeley-Swan High School boys’ basketball team lost a close game 45-53 to undefeated number six Arlee at home on Friday. After Thursday’s 47-54 defeat at Lincoln the Hawks are 6-4 and 2-1 in District 13-C.
Senior Shawn Evans led the Hawks with 18 points against Arlee and 14 at Lincoln.
Also scoring in the Arlee game were seniors Chris Birdsbill with six, Robert Baier with nine, Todd Skelton with four points and juniors Leland Hatten with six and Bobby Russell with a pair.
Also scoring in the Lincoln game were Birdsbill with nine, Skelton with seven, senior Alex Blendermann with five, Baier with five and Russell with seven points.
The Blackhawks will be on the road at Victor on Friday, January 22 but back at home on Saturday, January 23 hosting Hot Springs. The JV action begins with girls at 1:00 pm followed by boys JV then boys and girls varsity games.
