The 2010 Pike On Ice Fishing Derby was last weekend and there were some great catches from Salmon and Seeley Lakes.
First place, winning $500, was Dave Bordner of Missoula with a two-day catch of 32 lbs. 7 oz. Second place, winning $250, was Ralph Flockerzi also of Missoula with a two-day catch of 29 lbs. 9 oz.
Third place went to Tom Farago of Missoula with a catch weighing in at 28 lbs. 10 oz. Fourth place, winning two $20 gift certificates to Wholesale Sports, was Mike Farago also of Missoula. His total pike catch tipped the scales at 26 lbs 3.5 oz.
Saturdays $100 big fish award went to Dave Klein of Florence for his 11 lbs 3 oz fish, and Sundays $100 big fish award went to Ralph Flockerzi of Missoula with a pike weighing 8 lbs 7 ozs.
Extra proceeds will be cashed out to the Seeley Lake Food Bank. In excess of $1000 was donated by FISHERMEN!!! “Way to go guys ! We DO make a difference!” added Derby Organizer Toby Bedard of Seeley Lake.
