WTR Outfitters is located in the Blackfoot River Valley, 65 miles east of Missoula, Montana. The ranch is nestled in the Rockies at the entrance of the famous Bob Marshall, Great Bear and Scapegoat Wilderness areas. Shuttles from the Missoula airport are available for WTR guests. At WTR Outfitters, we understand that a wilderness trip to Montana will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many of our guests. That's why we work so hard to ensure you have a wonderful trip. And a successful one. The owner of WTR Outfitters, Karen Hooker, is a former owner, along with Jack Hooker, of the White Tail Guest Ranch (established in 1940). They have been guiding pack trips and big-game hunts in the area since 1955. There's not a peak, stream, trail or ridge in the Bob Marshall, Great Bear and Scapegoat Wilderness areas we don't know. We provide the finest guides and wranglers, the best stock, and our equipment, facilities and cuisine are second to none.
