Angel Hammond of Seeley Lake has been selected to attend the 1999 Missoula Children's Theatre Performing Arts Camp. Angel was selected from applicants throughou the United States and Canada to participate in this program.
Angel is an eighth grade student at Seeley Lake Elementary. All campers are junior or senior high students and were selected through a rigorous application and audition process. Angel will join approximately 200 other talented young people at MCT's Performing Arts Camp on Flathead Lake north of Polson, MT. The emphasis of the program is the development of performance skills in an ensemble setting. Much of the time is spent in rehearsal for a full-scale musical production which is presented to the public in Missoula, Montana at the end of the camp session. All of the campers will be featured in this production, which will be directed by MCT founder and Executive Director, Jim Caron and Music Director, Michael McGill.
Most of the campers are drawn from the Missoula Children's Theatre unique Touring Project, which will conduct week-long residencies in over 650 communities throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda and the Pacific Rim during the upcoming season. For further information, call 406-728-1911.
