Seeley Swan Pathfinder
Seeley Lake, Montana
Seeley Lake Elementary students delivered colorful luminaries
to Seeley Lake businesses last week. The students made the bright
candle gifts with crepe paper art. In addition to the larger upright
luminaries, the smaller ones shown in the center were made for
the students to take home to their parents. Along with the luminary,
each business received a poem written by individual students on
the subject of light. Funding for this project was provided by
Liz Claiborne and Art Ortenberg who last year funded a similar
Christmas project where the students distributed painted, plywood
Christmas trees to businesses in Seeley Lake. Many of these plywood
Christmas trees can be seen in front of businesses who have put
them out again this year. A handful of students posed with these
luminaries for a photo. From left are Alex Brighton, Sadie Linford,
Jennifer Halls, Hahyley Blackburn, Joey Moderie, and Craig Duke.
