When the county road in front of his lot was widened, Riley Hensley took one of the 29 trees uprooted on his lot and planted it upside down. "I'm waiting for it to grow," he laughed. The tangled mass of roots are covered with snow and draped with holiday lighting. It makes for a simple, but spectacular night scene at the corner of Whitetail Drive and Black Bear Road just a long block off Highway 83 where it lights up that intersection. And, if you're worried about the power on Y2K Eve Friday, you could watch this tree for a signal.
