An ice fishing contest sponsored by High Basin Sports in Seeley
Lake has a formidable leader with a 30-pound pike entry. Randy
Lynn, shown above, took the pike last Sunday from Salmon Lake
around 11 a.m. He was using smelt for bait. High Basin's contest
runs through Mar. 31 when a grand prize winner will receive a
2-person Ice House. Winners are recognized weekly at the store.
Lynn's pike in not only a local contest leader, but is the largest pike caught in Montana in the last four years. It was 30 pounds, 45 inches long, and 28 inches around the girth. Photo by High Basin.
