The focus of this article is on ALL the folks who brought the Seeley Lake 4th of July celebration to community residents, summer residents, everyone's visitors and to Seeley Lake area tourists. It's wonderful to know so many people who volunteered their time, energy and expertise to make a big event like the 4th of July Celebration happen. There were very visible people working on the 4th of July like Cheri Thompson, President of the Chamber; then there are people "behind the scenes" like Gerry Connell, who did the spectacular fireworks show and Kim Haines, Seeley-Swan High School principal, who invited the Missoula All City Band and made their appearance possible. Even in the rain, the show must go on - and on the parade went. The weather in the first part of the day was not very cooperative, but it's been sunny and hot ever since!
The Board of Directors and I want to thank the following people for making the 4th of July a fun and exciting day in Seeley Lake. If you are not mentioned on this list, please accept my apologies, and know that your help is appreciated.
