Seeley Swan Pathfinder
Sue and Jeff Heagy hosted the Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Elections at Tamaracks Resorts on May 20. The 65 people who attended enjoyed appetizers prepared by Cheri and Steve Thompson. Gary Miller thanked everyone for supporting their local Chamber. He also thanked outgoing Board members Bruce Wold and Paul Conn for their years of service and many contributions.
The new Board of Directors elected are: Cheri Thompson, President; Kevin Wetherell, Vice President; Gary Miller, Treasurer/Secretary; and Jane Fisher, Tim Love, Gary Guse, Ed Bezanson, Pat Holt and Leon Martin, Directors.
The Chamber building will be staffed daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day by Nancy Miller and Peggy Lattin.
The Chamber is in the process of prearing a "Community Calendar of Events" and asks that all community meetings and events be called in to the Chamber at 677-2880 or to Jane at 677-3620. This is in an effort to coordinate all meetings and events in the community so that they do not needlessly overlap.
The Fourth of July celebration is going ahead, with a spectacular fireworks show planned for Sunday, July 4 at 10:30 p.m. Call Cheri Thompson at 677-2454 if you are interested in buying fireworks shots.
A group discussion was held on the future of Seeley Lake. Kurt Friede spoke to the crowd regarding downtown beautification coupled with the highway project. Tim Love then closed the meeting, but first thanked Gary Miller, Past President, for his dedication and efforts during his four year tenure as Chamber President.
