Jazz musicians on a tour of Montana schools are making their first
stop here, and in addition to a high school performance, they
are presenting a free concert and show at the Double Arrow Lodge
next Monday, Mar. 29.
You can meet the musicians at 5 p.m., but music begins at 7 p.m. There will be complimentary hors d'ouvres served during the performance.
The band will perform the next day at noon at Seeley-Swan High School.
This group of musicians is on tour presenting educational programs on traditional jazz in schools around western Montana. Several of the band members are faculty members at Camp Heebie Jeebies which is held every June at Wapiti Resort.
Band members are Jacson Stock, trombone from Los Angeles; John Goodrich, reeds from Seattle; Dan West, coronet from Great Falls; Hazel Proctor, vocalist from Calgary; Karla West, piano from Whitefish; Jim Andler, drums from Kalispell; and Terry Siess, banjo from Bigfork.
