A trio of baritones from Seeley Lake have been invited to perform in Missoula this New Year's Eve, and their rehearsal for that performance will be offered free to area residents here Saturday evening.
Tom Larson, Bert Brewer and Rollie Meinholtzknown as the "Beyond the Belt" triowill present a show, "Sea Fever." The same performance will be given in a First Night Missoula concert at Missoula's Children Theatre Sunday evening (New Year's Eve) at 7:30 p.m.
Gay Brewer who accompanies the group on piano, said there will be songs, dialogue and poetry. "It's a regular mini-show production," she said, and the script has been written by Meinholtz.
The public is invited to listen to the rehearsal Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the All Purpose Room at Seeley Lake Elementary.
The trio submitted a taped recording for audition to First Night Missoula and were accepted. Some 37 different activites are going on in Missoula New Year's Eve and $8 buttons may be purchased for admission to all of them.
In addition to the trio from here, Seeley Lake Puppeteer Peggy Meinholtz will be giving two performances at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Florence Hotel.
