MCT production of Treasure Island
at Seeley-Swan High this Saturday

April 13, 2000
Seeley Swan Pathfinder
Seeley Lake, Montana

The Seeley-Swan High School/Missoula Children's Theater production of TREASURE ISLAND will be this Saturday, April 15, at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the Seeley-Swan old gym. Ticket prices are $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and senior citizens.

TREASURE ISLAND is a new collaboration between Jim Caron and Michael McGill. In rewriting the famous novel by Robert Louis Stevenson they faced a significant challenge in adapting a story based on greed, murder, and drinking rum into a clever and humorous children's musical suitable for students from the kindergarten through the twelfth grade. The scenery is the most complicated and extensive ever done in Seeley Lake because three locations are involved. The audience will see a New England coast, a ship and a tropical island.

Come and see Ely Sheets as Jim Hawkins, Autumn Biggins as Davy Letterman, Mary Yiengst as Rosie Red, Becky Farrar as Whitey, Jessie Diamond as Big ole Blue, Christina Pulici as Goldie the Hun, and Danielle Drew as Captain Patches.

Lara Parker, Emily Watson Ashley Wolf-Sherman, Kristen Meisner, Lindsay Newell and Laura Love are Sisters.

Ruffians are Payden Holt, Logan Swanson, and Stephen Maciag.

Villagers are Elizabeth Bernstrauch, Catherine Leonard, Jesse Swigert, Gina Clark, Anthony Esparza, Kody Kelly, Alexa Owens, Megan Rose, Rose-Ann Sheets, Erik Rose, Niki Swigert, Catalina Parcell, Talon Voss, and Kallista Thornton.

MCT cast members T.J. Charlson, Beth Martin, and Amy Pettigrew will play the roles of Long John Silver, Mother and Sing Sing Sam.

The production will also feature kindergarten, first grade and second grade students as Gulls.
