Wendell Weaver is a winner! He won the first drawing in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's raffle when, on February 1, 2000, Ayla Johnson pulled his name from a box at Stoney's Casino at the Clearwater Junction.
The raffle is being held to help the RMEF raise money for various projects, including the Blackfoot/Clearwater wildlife management area.
Wendell won a Ruger Model RBJ2-1141 10/22 rifle with a Tasco 4X scope and a gun case. This is just one of the many rifles and shotguns that are being raffled.
Located at The Montana Pines Hideaway Saloon are a Remington Model 700 ADL .300 Winchester magnum with a synthetic stock; a Remington Model 870 Express Magnum 12 Gauge shotgun; and a Ruger Model RBJ2-1141 10/22 with a Tasco 4X scope and gun case.
Rovero's also has a Remington Model 700 ADL .300 Winchester magnum with a synthetic stock.
The 7-Up Supper Club in Lincoln has a Barreta 12 Gauge shotgun. And Stoney's Casino will be getting a new rifle to replace the one that Wendell won.
There is a maximum number of tickets that will be sold during the raffle. So, don't delay in getting your tickets or you may miss out. 200 tickets will be sold at Montana Pines for $10 each or three tickets for $25. The first person drawn in this raffle will have his or her choice between the three guns.
The second person will have a choice between the remaining two. Rovero's is selling only 200 tickets for $5 each and the 7-Up Supper Club is selling only 200 tickets for $10 each.
