The Sixth Annual Wine and Chocolate Social sponsored by Alpine Artisans will be held at the Emily A. Bed and Breakfast, mile marker 20, Highway 83 in Seeley Lake on Saturday, February 5th.
The Social will begin at 6:00 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres presented until 7:00 by members of the seventh and eighth grade Spanish classes from Swan Valley School. The classes are raising funds for their trip to Spain in the summer of 2001. There will be no charge, but donations will be appreciated.
As at previous Socials, complimentary wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the evening, as well as the heavenly chocolates provided by the members of Alpine Artisans.
Over 50 items will be available at a silent auction presenting arts and crafts produced by members, as well as a live auction of pieces selected by the auctioneer, who will once again be Pat Holt of Montana Pines Hideaway. Some of the items to be auctioned are on view at the First Valley Bank a few days prior to the event. There will be raffles held throughout the evening with one ticket included in the $10.00 entry fee and additional tickets available for purchase.
The special awards, Best of Show, First, Second, and Third prizes and Honorable Mentions will be chosen by Hazel Foley, a Missoula artist.
The proceeds from the auctions and admission fees will fund a $500 scholarship for a graduating Seeley-Swan senior to be used to continue their education in some phase of the arts, as well as other community art activities.
Please join us for an evening of fine arts and crafts, good company, and superb food, and support the arts in the Seeley-Swan Valley.
