The nation's largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament is held annually in Spokane, Washington. This year's "Hoopfest" was the largest ever, with over 21,300 players on over 5400 teams. Players travel from as far away as Chicago, Atlanta and even Alaska. Seeley Lake sent a team consisting of Zach Nelson, Cody Hard, Tanner Marlatt and Brody Klemer. The boys were bracketed against teams their height and age from Washington, Idaho and Montana. After two days of tough competition, the boys found themselves in the semi-finals against Clarkston, Idaho. Seeley pulled away from a 15-15 tie down the stretch and won 20-15. In the championship game, Seeley played well and was 19-16, but missed free throws opened the door for Priest River, Idaho and Seeley fell 20-19. Despite the loss, Seeley Lake made a fine showing, bringing home second place.
