The Class B State Golf Tournament was held at the King's Ranch
Golf Course in Frenchtown on May 16 and 17. Seeley-Swan High School
competed for the first time, sending six qualifiers, five boys:
Chad Gehrke, Ladd Gordon, Tony Hendricks, Ryan Plum and Vince
Pulici; and one girl, Lara Parker. To qualify, golfers must have
competed in a tournament with four or more teams and scored 100
strokes or less (boys) or 120 or less (girls).
The six golfers traveled to Frenchtown on Monday the 15th to play an 18 hole practice round. Tuesday the competition began with the golfers playing 18 holes and another 18 on Wednesday. Golfers were grouped with players of similar abilities.

The golf club's first lesson was the spring of 1999 and this year was the first time the team competed in tournaments. Les Gordon has coached the team both years.
