Elementary Invitational

The Seeley Lake Elementary Invitational Track Meet was held on May 6, 2000 at Big Sky in Missoula. The eighth grade boys team put on an awesome scoring display, gaining 158 points to take first place, even though there were a couple of injuries. Ryan Teafoe and Cody Hard tied for high points on the team. They had all firsts and one second, losing only to each other for second place. The distance crew of Zach Nelson, Ryan Nichol and Andrew Rose continued to run well. The 1600 M Relay members ran an excellent time of 4:04.56, just shy of the old mile relay record.

The girls eighth grade team took second place with 83 points, with only five girls on the team.

With only three seventh grade boys, the team scored second with 66 points.

The seventh grade girls team set a record with 160 total points earned by the team, as they almost doubled the points of the second place team. Sarah Madinger had an excellent day, winning four firsts and a second. She set a school record in the triple jump of 29'10" as a seventh grader. The girls put on a dazzling display by placing in every event they entered.
