Dear Editor

Wow, what a community! The response to the American Red Cross Blood Drive was fantastic. The four nurses from Missoula kept the four tables filled the entire time from 2 p.m. until after 6 p.m. 39 units were obtained. Considering each pint of blood can save three lives, these 39 pints of blood will help 117 patients in our area.

Thanks go to many Seeley Lake and surrounding area citizens. First of all lets Thank the Donors most important of all. They were very patient when occasionally appointments ran a little late, the Donors stayed to contribute. Members from the Seeley Lake Senior Citizens who contributed their time and talents were: Co-chair Joan Burt who gave out and explained the necessary history forms to incoming donors, a Special thanks. Others of that group who served at the refreshment table and or baked cookies were: Helen Rose, Bonnie Miller, Marie Bergan, Lars Hensley, Carly Bonile, Kay Myers and Pauline Kvamme. A large container of delicous soup made by Norma Ketland was enjoyed by all. Bruce Wold, again this year, gave us the juices and crackers from the Valley Market. Last but not least we would like to thank Gary Noland for printing the inportant press coverage which helped to make the Blood Drive a success. The Senior Priorty at the High School also helped notify perspective donors by phone.

This year a few door prizes were awarded. Recievers of these prizes were John Burt, Connie Clark, Susan Bohlken, Dianna Plum, Susan Allen, Joan Baker and Marie Bergan. Hopefully I have not omitted anyone.

Thanks and see you all next year.
