State Park
improvements planned

September 14, 2000
Seeley Swan Pathfinder
Seeley Lake, Montana

New vault latrines will be put in at Salmon Lake and Painted Rocks State Parks and Riverbend and River Junction Fishing Access Sites (FAS) on the Blackfoot River this fall.

Two vault toilets will be installed at Riverbend FAS and Painted Rocks State Park. Single new toilets will be installed at Salmon Lake State Park and River Junction FAS.

The purpose is to provide adequate toilet facilities for park and site users in order to maintain a safe, sanitary and healthful environment where concentrated numbers of recreationists occur.

The improvements are funded with user fees collected at state parks and fishing license revenue for fishing access sites.
