Seeley Lake Eighth Graders Perform Aladdin

This past week the play Aladdin was performed by the eighth grade class at Seeley Lake Elementary School. The play was directed by Sharon Teague, and assisted by Becky Gehrke, with choreography by Kim Bezanson, as part of the fund raising for the eighth grade class trip. Many thanks to the numerous volunteers, including the eighth grade dads for building the set, Donna Love for painting, the Sweat Shop Sewers, the Turban Twisters, the makeup artists, lighting by Autumn Biggins and Andrew Rose, and all those who ran errands for various supplies. The eighth grade play is one of many school events funded by grants. Through an application process, the Claiborne Ortenberg Foundation generously supports the arts through projects such as the annual play, community Christmas projects and the outside school mural. Copies of the play are available at Video Vision for two dollars and a blank tape. |
