Seeley Lake, Montana

The Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the First Annual Tamarack Festival, planned for this coming October 6th and 7th.

The Festival will be celebrating the blaze of autumn colors that sweep through our valley.

The Festival will be held at mile marker 13 on Highway 83, just south of Seeley Lake, and will host a variety of events, including a craft fair, music, an organized interpretive walk, a drive to see the golden tamaracks, a horseback ride, a mountain bike race along the local alpine ski trails, and many children's activities.

The craft fair will spotlight many talented artists who will be coming to sell their unique items and offer great ideas for Christmas. There will be a live performance stage for those in the audience who dare to sing, dance, tell jokes, etc. for the crowds.

Vendors will be offering an assortment of foods and beverages, including sandwiches, chili, cotton candy, ice cream, and sodas. The Lions Club will be sponsoring a beer garden. And, as a special treat, there will be a spectacular luminary display on the evening of October 6th sponsored by SSTEP.

As part of the community support for the Festival, there will be an all-men's cook-off contest on Saturday at the Bison & Bear Trading Center, located in Seeley Lake.

The Chamber is still looking for volunteers to help with the event, so if you are interested please call the Chamber office at 677-2880.
