Alpine Artisans raise more
scholarhip money at benefit

Samantha Lewis, left, describes one of her pencil drawings that was auctioned at the Alpine Wine & Chocolate Social Saturday at the Montana Pines Hideaway. Samanth was last year's recipient of the Alpine Artisan scholarship for students pursuing art at the university level. She expressed her appreciation to the association for her scholarship and donated back all the proceeds from her art that was auctioned.

Charlie and Marion Burmeister, left, were presented the Alpine Artisan Arts Benefactor Award at the social Saturday. The presentation was made by Colleen Nicholson. The Burmeisters will be serving as co-presidents of the association this coming year. Around 100 people attended this year's auction where 40 pieces of art were sold. G. Noland photos
