Lewis & Clark Sign
goes up in Ovando

A new Lewis & Clark Interpretive Sign has been placed in Ovando. Shown here, from left, are Howard Fly, Seeley Lake Ranger Tim Love, and Skip Houtchens. The sign tells about Lewis' overnight stay near Ovando. Lewis called the area "the land of the prairie knobs." Monture Creek was originally named "Seaman Creek" after Lewis' dog.
