Infrastructure Meeting Friday

June 14, 2001
Seeley Swan Pathfinder
Seeley Lake, Montana

The Seeley Lake Community Council is sponsoring the annual infrastructure meeting on Monday, June 18 at 7:00 PM in the Seeley Lake Elementary School Multipurpose Room. The purpose of the meeting is to hold an open discussion with the various boards and organizations involved in the infrastructure and functions of the Seeley Lake community. This year the theme will be "The Community in Transition."

Last winter when it appeared Pyramid Mountain Lumber was about to close, the community rallied and identified several actions to take to deal with that situation. Several of those ideas were valid regardless of the future of Pyramid.

The four basic areas of concern were: 1-Natural Resources 2-Infrastructure 3-Economic Development 4-Lifestyle

Discussions at the meeting will focus on how our various community entities can coordinate and collaborate towards achieving a desired future for our community. Having a strong diversified economic base, while retaining our traditional lifestyle seems to be a consensus by most of our residents.

Please give consideration to how your organization is positioned to aid in achieving our community goals and share them with the group. Identify any needs which are lacking in the community.

It is important that your organization be aware of the current activities planned by our local boards and organizations and share any current plans your organization has for the Seeley lake area, as well as work towards a solution for problems or conflict.

All local boards, groups and organizations are asked to have a representative attend this meeting. An RSVP to Sharon, the Community Council clerk at 677-2200 by June 15 will be appreciated. For more information call 677-3398.
