The Blackhawks met the eventual District 5-B Tournament winner, Loyola, in the first game of the tournament last week and Loyola jumped to an early 21-8 first quarter lead and led by 20, 41-21, at halftime.

The Hawks managed to hold the margin in the third period, but Loyola then pulled further out in the final period to win 74-46.

Senior Ryan Plum hit four 3-pointers and led the Hawks with 13 points, followed by Abe Madinger 10, Ladd Gordon 7, Brian Gallea 6, Ty Broesder 4, Zach Nelson 4, and David Pitman 1.

The Hawks looked like they were on their way to a second game win over Darby. The Hawks held sway in a see-saw game until the final minutes when Darby gained the upper hand, holding on to win 64-58 and eliminate the Hawks from the tournament.

Ryan Plum, again with two 3-pointers, paced the Hawks with 16 points, followed by Abe Madinger with 14, Ladd Gordon 12, Ty Broesder 10, Brian Gallea 4, and David Pitman 2.
