Feucht wins Divisional discus,
Copenhaver qualifies for 3 state events

SSHS senior Shyanne Feucht took first place in the Western B Divisional Track Meet discus competition in Missoula last weekend with a toss of 120-3, and Beth Copenhaver earned a trip to the State Class B meet after placing in three events.

Jessie Diamond also goes to state after placing fourth in girls' high jump at 4-10, and Abe Madinger qualified for state with a sixth place tie in the boys' pole vault at 10-0.

Feucht's winning throw was well ahead of second place finisher Trena Sundet of Darby at 108-9. Feucht also placed fourth in the shot put at 31-10 1/2 and will compete in discus and shot put at the state level.

Copenhaver's strongest finish was in the 400 where she placed third with a time of 61.22. She was fourth in the 300 hurdles in 49.59, and fifth in the 200 in 26.95.

SSHS girls finished in seventh place at divisional with 30 points.

The top six places in individual and relay events at Divisional will compete at the State Class B Track Meet this weekend in Great Falls.
