SSTEP volunteers receive donations from the Quiltmakers of the Tamaracks. Volunteers, are Fran & Herb Schiefelbein, Anita Richards, and Margarie Phipps (all in center). At left and right are Quiltmakers Barb Edwards and Pam Keller.

Cindy Torok, center, accepts a check for the Historical Society from Quiltmakers Barb Edwards, left, and Pam Keller.

Each year, the Quiltmakers of the Tamaracks give a portion of their raffle quilt sales to community organizations. This year, 10% of the sales was given to the SSTEP Program and another 10% was given to the Seeley Lake Historical Society. On August 25th Barbara Edwards, raffle quilt chairperson, and Pam Keller, 2001 Quilt Show chairperson, presented $120 to each organization.

Eighth grader Robin Matsk, age 13, from Boise, Idaho, won the beautiful Forest Home raffle quilt. She was visiting her Seeley Lake grandmother Fran Wylder, for the summer and had taken kids quilting classes. What a wonderful prize for a budding quilter.

Another raffle winner, an amazed Joann Lemons, received that huge basket of fabric from the Fat Quarter Raffle.

Quiltmakers thank all who purchased raffle tickets for making these donations possible.
