PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED ON APRIL 15

Seeley Swan Pathfinder
April 9, 1998

It is time for Hunter Education class again. Hunter Education and Bow Hunter Education will begin April 15. The course is free and is open to anyone who wants to take it. If you are between the ages of 12 and 17 and have not taken hunter education before, you must take it to be able to purchase a Montana big game license. If you are 12 years of age or above and have not taken the bow hunter education class, you must take it to be able to purchase a Montana bow stamp. Some other states require you to have a hunter education certificate to purchase a license if you are a non-resident.

The hunter education program has gone through a big change in the last few years. It is a much better program and there are some new requirements. The main requirement you have to worry about right now is you must pre-register. The pre-registration for hunter education classes is Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Elementary School. This registration will only last about 30 minutes. You must attend this pre-registration or you WILL NOT be able to take hunter education. If you are under 17, you must have your parent or guardian attend this pre-registration with you. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.

For further information, call 677-3670. THE CLASSES WILL START ON APRIL 20, 1998 AT 7:00 P.M., AND WILL LAST FOR TWO WEEKS.
