Yes, There Really Is A
Baseball Team in Seeley Lake

Seeley Swan Pathfinder
April 2, 1998

The team is part of the Mount Jumbo East Little League program. It consists of 13-15 year olds. The team's home field is in Bonner.

Seeley Lake's involvement in the Missoula Little League program began a few years ago. Cliff Nelson was instrumental in making it happen.

It has been difficult to compete against kids who have played Little League since they were nine years old. The Seeley Lake team has done well however, and finished the '97 season with the most wins ever for a Seeley Lake team! The coach, John Devins, feels that this season's team is the best yet and has a great chance to do well.

The referees for the entire Little League in Missoula recommended that our team be recognized for outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. You would be very proud of these kids as they represent our community very well.

Clearwater River Realty sponsors the team. The $25 per player fee is the responsibility of the individual players. Transportation to our home field 50 miles away is provided by parents and volunteer coaches.

The snow and mud make the early practices difficult. The coach would like to provide a couple of outings to the batting cages in Missoula. This additional expense is difficult for some players to come up with.

If you would like to support baseball in Seeley Lake, a donation would be greatly appreciated. Please send donations to Seeley Lake Little League, Box 140, Seeley Lake MT 59868, or donations can be dropped off at Video Vision.
