Seeley Swan Pathfinder
January 29, 1998
The Seeley Lake Branch Library now has a direct link with the Missoula Public Library. This means patrons can see what books they have out, when those books are due, and fines they may have accrued. Patrons can also run searches on books, magazine and newspaper articles, and other information from the library's database. Patrons can place holds on materials located at the Missoula Public Library. This connection creates an improvement for the librarians and patrons.
The Seeley Lake Branch Library has not charged overdue fines in the past. It will begin to do so February 1, 1998. Past overdue fines will be waived. Everyone will begin with a clean slate. Patrons will be regularly updated about books they have out and when those books are due.
Story times in February will be Saturday, February 7 and Saturday, February 21. Both will begin at 1:00 p.m. On February 7, Karen Lyncoln has planned to read People by Peter Spier. Afterwards, children will help create a collage. On February 21, My Pal Peggy Puppets will perform a version of the Aesop fable, "The Lion and the Mouse." Parents, mark your calendars. Children of all ages are welcome to these free and fun-filled story times.
The library has current 1997 tax forms and information. The library is open school days from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (closed from 11:30 to noon), Wednesdays from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
