If these shoes will just fly...

The competition is pretty tough at the National Junior Olympics track meet in Seattle this week, and part of that competition is Bobby Clark, though he's thinking about the other guys when he says that.

But, the other guys will be thinking about Clark, a Seeley-Swan High School junior, who hopes to better his second-place finish in the decathlon in last year's national meet in Florida.

Clark goes into the national finals with a regional first-place win in the decathlon earlier this summer in Boise, Idaho, where he also posted wins in the 110 hurdles and long jump events.

At the Youth Nationals in Spokane, Clark was in second place after the first day of decathlon competition, but fell to fourth place with a poor pole vault perfomance.

Clark is competing in the intermediate division, age 15-16.
