Seeley Swan Pathfinder
July 16, 1998

Paul Conn, right, presents awards and plaques to several people who
have played important roles in the development and maintenance of the Seeley
Lake Community Hall over the years. Honored were Mame Baker, far left second
row, and front row, from left: Butch Townsend, Allen Chaffin, Mildren Chaffin,
and Bonnie Lewis. The awards were presented July 5 during an auction benefit
for the hall.

A bronze plaque was officially unveiled at the July 5 dedication of the
Cliff Nelson Junior High building, honoring the community's beloved 7th
and 8th grade teacher. Dedication ceremonies were held inside the building
with several of Nelson's family members attending. Moving stories about
Cliff Nelson were related by family members, a Ranger from the Bighorn Battlefield
Monument, Larry Marx, John Hebnes, and Brian Morin, who officiated at the
ceremony.
