Chosen As Girls

Seeley Swan Pathfinder
June 4, 1998

Kristy Pohlman, a junior at Seeley-Swan High School, has been chosen as the 1998 Girls State delegate for the June 7 to June 13 conference at the Carroll College campus in Helena. The alternate is Robyn Lewis, daughter of Gary and Cheryl Lewis of Seeley Lake.

Kristy is a member of the National Honor Society, Who's Who Among American High School Students, and an academic all-state for 1997 and 1998. She is also yearbook editor and is a cheerleader, plays volleyball and is a Successful Steps Into High School leader, besides attending her high school classes.

Kristy is the daughter of Philip and Sharon Pohlman and granddaughter of Helen Rich, all of Seeley Lake.

Girls State is sponsored by the Montana American Legion Auxiliary and is celebrating its 50th year of teaching, learning and demonstrating leadership.
