A total of nine western history books have been placed in the Seeley Swan
High School Library in memory of Herb Townsend. Herb was an avid reader
of western history and could also tell about fascinating personal experiences
as a cowboy and rodeo rider. The books were given by the Townsend family
and Rod and Pauline Kvamme.
Shown in the picture with Librarian Loretta Cooper, standing, are Rod Kvamme, left, Mrs Herb (Butch) Townsend, center, and Pauline Kvamme. They are holding the books which are now ready for use by students and people in the community.
