Shilo Anders, a 6-0 forward/post player from Seeley Lake, has signed an
NAIA/Frontier Conference letter of intent to play basketball for Western
Montana College, according to head coach Kevin Engellant.
Anders earned All-District, All-Conference and All-State honors for Seeley-Swan High School. During the past season, she averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds a game for the Lady Blackhawks.
"Shilo is a big, strong girl who will give our team some inside height," said Engellant. "She has the skills to be a great player at this level. Shilo has good hands, knows how to score, and is a very strong rebounder."
In addition to basketball, Anders also participated in volleyball, where she earned All-District and All-Conference honors and in track.
She excels in the classroom, where she earned a 3.96 GPA and a place on the Honor Roll. Anders was selected Academic All-State in both basketball and volleyball. She was also selected to the National Honor Society and the Missoula Leadership High School.
Anders will graduate this spring from Seeley-Swan High School and plans to major in secondary education at Western. She is the daughter of John and Shauna Anders of Seeley Lake. She was coached in high school by WMC grad Les Gordon.
