Spring & Summer
Boating, Skiing, Fishing:
Whether you bring your own boat or rent one, you must get out
and get on one of the Valley's beautiful lakes. Perhaps your
choice is Seeley, Salmon, Inez, or Placid Lake; maybe even Lake
Alva. Fishing, picnicking and swimming are all great in these
areas.
Wildlife Viewing, Birdwatching:
The Seeley Swan Valley is abundant with outdoor activity. Day
Hikes and back country pack-ins are popular with wildlife of
many species to be observed and photographed. Several bird observatories
are located throughout the valley, with the mighty Eagle, wise
Owls, and a large variety of water fowl, including loons. Remember,
patience and silence is a must to witness and enjoy the shy critters
of our wilderness. May brings the Loon & Fish Festival to
Seeley Lake.
Golf, Horseshoes, Softball:
Less than 3 short miles south on Hwy 83, you'll find the popular
Double Arrow Golf Course. How about an early morning Tee-Off?
Horseshoe Pitching is continuous all summer long with the Tournament
being held in mid-July. A variety of Softball tournaments are
held here in June and July, with the Seeley teams holding their
own.

Fall & Winter
Hunting (Bow & Rifle)
Big Game hunting is a very popular sport within our mountain
ranges. September is the beginning of Bow season and Rifle season
follows that. Permits are issued for elk, deer, moose, bear,
mountain lion and goat.
Snowmobiling & Cross Country
Skiing
Park your rig in front of your motel room and ride or ski off
on approximately 300 miles of groomed trails. Travel through
the beauty of the wilderness and enjoy. Seeley Lake Driftriders
is our local snowmobile club. January and February bring major
snowmobile events plus the much enjoyed and competitive snow
sculpturing contest in Seeley Lake. Cross country skiing is abundant
and the trails ar shared by snowmobilers and dog sledders.
Dog Sledding
A relaxing way to exercise those dogs and also enjoy the beautiful
winter days. Some trails are shared by other winter enthusiasts.
January and February host several sled races consisting of 50,
100, 300 and 500 miles in distance.
